Thank you God, for answering prayers

2/6/2022

This last week has shown me the greatness of our Heavenly Father. Not only His greatness, His goodness, His love for us, and how He watches over us. For those who live up north and get lots of snow and ice this may not seem that big to you. However, it showed me just how much He answers our prayers.

My grandchildren had rabbits entered in the Fort Worth Stock Show this last week. Grandma, to show her support, agreed to take them. Then we heard of an artic storm was coming, I know that you northern readers think, so what, we get them every year. Not here in Texas. Yes, we get snow and ice, and I normally have a husband who drove me where we needed to go on it years ago. Just not me.

This year almost as if God had it planned, we left on Wednesday and Thursday morning I got the blessing of driving on snow and ice for the first time in over fifteen years. I may have slipped and slid, however with the prayers of those in the car and some left at home, I made it two and a half miles each day for two days.

Because God was asked to help, He did. Because the occupants of the car were united in prayer, He answered our prayers.

God our Heavenly Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and our Guide, the Holy Ghost has shown me once again that they care and will answer our prayers.

We prayed that we would make it up the hills, He answered that prayer by getting us to the top.

We prayed that we would make it down the hills, He answered the prayers.

We prayed that the traffic light would remain green till we went through, He answered the prayers.

Each time that we prayed a specific prayer from Wednesday night until we made it home on Saturday, God answered our prayers. And one of the things I did after each answer was gave Him praise for answering those prayers.

Our God is worth of all the praise that we give Him. Everyday we need to ask ourselves, have we given thanks for all the God has done for us. If we are not sure, then we need to take the time in our busy life to stop and praise Him for all the blessings God bestows on us.

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for hearing and answering prayers. We ask many things of you, and you answer. Sometimes with yes, sometimes with no and sometimes with wait. I want to take the time to say “thank you” one more time for all the answered prayers. Please use this to help someone to believe that You, our God, will answer their prayers even if we don’t get the answer that we want. Amen

New Year Resolution - to get closer to God

1/2/2022

Yesterday the world was interested in New Year’s Resolutions. Did you make any? It is the “in” thing to do. However, the thought came to me that we, as humans, focus on the wrong thing. Most resolutions deal with weight (lose or gain), money (earn more/spend less), love, or jobs. How many do you make that deal with God?

Improving our relationship with God should always have the highest priority in our lives. God wants to be our #1 in all areas of our lives not only on a daily basis, He wants to be #1 on a continual basis. How do we do this, lets look at 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22.

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Precious Heavenly Father, thank you for seeing us through last year. 2021, was hard on so many of your children and I thank you for being faithful and bringing them safe through all the trials they have faced. Some You have called home, because the time here with us has been rewarded by them being in our presence.

Dearest Heavenly Father, thank you for a new year for us that remail so that we may learn more about You, Your Son, and the Holy Ghost. Show us the paths that we need to walk so that we can make it to Heaven. Amen.

Thoughts on what Christmas is about

12/27/21

Yesterday was the day that we celebrate God giving us the best gift that has ever been given to mankind. He gave us His Son, Jesus. He gave us this gift because He loved us more than we can imagine. How do we show Him that we appreciate this gift? Most people ignore it and live their lives for the enemy. God gives and the devil takes away. Who do you live your life for?

John 3:16 (KJV)

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

How do we know that God and our enemy is here to steal and take away all that he can? Such as our peace of mind, our joy, our livelihood, our salvation, and our Heavenly home with Jesus. We know this when we read John 10:7-16, where Jesus likens Himself to a shepherd who takes care of the sheep and He likens His enemy to a thief that comes for no purpose other than to steal, kill, and to destroy.

John 10:7–16 (KJV)

7Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Today, we need to make for sure that we live our lives in such a way that everyone can see Christ in us. We do not know how many people that we meet today, that may never see another Child of God. Use your time here as a worthy servant of God.

A Prayer for Healing

I was sent this prayer from Sterling Full Gospel Church in Independence, Missouri. It seems to be very appropriate for this time. With illness abounding in bodies, minds, and souls; we need to go to Jesus for our healing in our whole body.                 C.I. Wilson

I command that I go free from all sickness and disease today, in Jesus’ name. The Lord is freeing me from all my troubling thoughts today. I am the seed of Abraham who believes in Jesus. I say to the seed of Abraham go free from that hostage feeling, in Jesus name. transgressions stop. Healing flow, Life flow in Jesus’ name. Jesus make me whole. Jesus make me well. Jesus heals my spirit now. I release the helping power of Jesus. Whatever my need is, the healing power of God is flooding my body. I release to my body the healing that belongs to me. I release the power of God. I command pain to leave my body. God is healing and restoring me right now, In Jesus Name. the name of Jesus is above that name of all sickness and disease, and I release the healing power of Jesus. Jesus is the same today. He’s healing me today. I curse all infirmity in the name of Jesus. The same Jesus that healed those lepers when He walked the earth heals me right now, in Jesus’ name. I praise You, Father, for the healing virtue of Jesus. Father, I thank You. I love You. I appreciate You, Lord. The Lord Jesus is touching me. His Word is going into my body, and in His power, His Spirit is making me whole, I glorify You, Father, and thank You for You. Jesus, You are my healer. You haven’t forgotten about me. You’re the same yesterday, today, and forever. What You did when You walked the earth, You are doing today by Your Spirit, and I receive the healing virtue of Jesus manifested in my physical body, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. Luke 4:40
