Give Praise unto God

5/1/2022

This last week I once again experienced a moment in time when God’s hand on your life is shown in startling plainness. We have, most likely, had several moments when we recognize the workings of God in our lives. Some might say a “wake up call” from God.

I have recently started watching my great-grand children and had been out doing some of my normal running around when I developed car problems. Thinking it was fixed, we proceeded on our way home. One of my most precious bundles of love needed my attention and so I stopped to provide that and turned my car off.

Now here is where God’s love and care was proved to me once again. This could have happened at any time, however it happened when the assistance that I needed where in place to help. Praise the Lord, God Almighty.

It did not happen when I was in Oklahoma by myself and my help was working, it did not happen when my car was being used to get someone to work on time, and it did not happen any time that I was more than an hour away from home. It happened when God had all the help, I needed ready to come to my assistance. Praise the Lord.

When we live for God, follow HIS WILL for us then He will take care of us in all the trials and tribulation that we must face on this earth. Remember, Jesus faced many problems (trials) and has given us an example of how to face them.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for watching over me and my fellow travelers on our way to Heaven. We cannot praise you enough for all that you do for us. Thank you, Lord for taking care of your people even in our times of troubles. Amen

One Reason People don't return to your church.

4/24/2022

Pastor’s have you ever wondered why some of your visitors never come back? How about some first-time visitors that mentioned they were new to the area and looking for a home church?

I was reading an email (Link below) that gave a compelling reason for people leaving your church. It is not the music, or songs, or lack thereof. According to the article it might be your preaching. Or it might be something else. I recommend reading this article.

Happy Resurrection Day 2022

4/17/2022

Happy Easter

On this day, we should all remember that we, as Christians, are blessed and be willing to spread that blessing to the world.

In Genesis, we learn that God, our Heavenly Father, wanted someone to talk to, someone that looked to Him for friendship. Just as God walked with Adam and Eve, He wants to walk with us today. In the Bible, He continually shows us that He wants the same type of relationship with us. With Adam and Eve God came and physically walked with them; since the resurrection of Jesus, we can all walk with Him. Let us spread the word that our Heavenly Father (God), His Son (Jesus), and our Guide (the Holy Ghost) wants to walk with everyone; no matter their age, nationality, or sex.

Matthew 27:31 (KJV)

31And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

Matthew 27:35 (KJV)

35And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

Matthew 27:50 (KJV)

50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

Matthew 28:1–7 (KJV)

1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

3His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

4And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Take My Hand

3/27/2022

There are times when you read something, it stands out to you and other times it sticks with you for a long time. This is one of those times when you read something, you feel the urge to share it with others.

The IFGEA, has a group called: Women of Worth with Helping Hands. This article should repersent that group and cause Christian to offer their "Helping Hands."

You may find this article and other good ones at: https://mychurchnotes.net/topics/kingdom-of-god/7770-take-my-hand

During a class assignment, a teacher asked her first graders to draw something for which they were thankful.

Some drew toys, others their parents or friends.

One reserved boy, Douglas, drew a picture of a hand with nothing else in the frame.

Most of the pictures were obvious, but the guesses about the hand were all over the place. The hand of a policeman directing traffic, a farmer raising crops, or even God for protection.

Later, when the teacher asked the boy about the image, he said, “It’s your hand, Teacher.”

She recalled the times she’d offered her help without thinking about it. Here’s how you hold your pencil. Other times, Let’s do this together. Even those times, Take my hand, Douglas. I’ll show you the way.

Whose hand would we draw? Would someone draw our hand?

Hebrews 4:16 says:

“Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

God holds out his hand to each one of us. It’s our duty to hold one hand to the Father and the other to those around us in need. We are to be the conduit that allows his blessing to flow from the throne to a hurting and lost world.

When God’s blessing flows to us, we must also allow it to flow through us.

Do you have border control?

3/20/2022

Recently a large part of what you hear and read in the news is about one country invading the borders of another country. This is sad news. However, we have been facing this concept for centuries. God created mankind, both male and female, in His image. Because the Bible does not state how long Adam and Eve lived in the garden before Satan invaded their spiritual boundaries, we do not know how long peace reigned on the earth.

Ever since Adam and Eve partook of the forbidden fruit, mankind has had to live in a world with both good and evil. When I look at the world around me, I see a world that appears to be more evil then good. The news reports way more bad things happening then they report good things.

The book of Revelation tells us about the “end” of the struggle between good and bad so when we read it, we realize that the good wins in the end. However, we are still struggling with the border conflict in our personal lives.

I grew up in a Christian home, in a time that adults did not use filthy language in front of children, and sin was not plastered before us as it is in today’s magazines and television. After I got married, I was shocked to overhear two men talking just outside of our truck and maybe every fourth word was not a cuss word. Ever since then I have been aware of the Border Conflict for our souls.

Are we providing ourselves and our families with the weapons that are needed to keep the devil from invading our souls? If you cannot say a solid yes, then you need to increase your border controls. By getting into the Word of God and praying more.

C.I. Wilson

Heavenly Father, thank you for providing Your Words in so many different ways, in print, on the radio, the television, and on CD’s. Show us the best way to strengthen the borders of our souls and the souls of our loved ones so that we can be the witness that you, Heavenly Father, need us to be. Amen.
