The other day I found one of my old hankies that had been used to wipe the paint off of a brush. It looked like an impressionist canvas. Then the Lord started talking to me about Joseph’s coat of many colors. When his dad, Jacob, had the coat made for him was a symbol of Jacob’s love for his son. Then God enlarged upon this with the wedding garment that is given to everyone that accepts Jesus into their heart and life.

This garment is as white as pure snow. Bleach cannot make it whiter than what God can. We put it on and feel so special because we are God’s child. Then we go about our life and we get busy and forget about the precious garment that we are wearing. When we forget how precious it is we start dabbling in things that we have no business with and when we do then look at that pure white garment it might not be white anymore. It could look like you splattered mud, paint, sin and other things that you had no business getting into and then you have on an old, tattered garment. When this happens, you will no longer be welcome in Heaven.

We, as Children of God, are to be aware that everything we do and every word we speak effects our witness to those around us. That witness or reputation is what draws others to find out more about God. Have you searched your heart to make sure there is nothing in your life that God would be unhappy about? If so, then repent and heed what Jesus said to the woman in John 8:1-11(go and sin no more).

Strongholds, do you have any? Are they God given or are they of the world. In 2 Corinthians it talks about pulling down of strong holds. The question that came to me is: Do you let the devil pull down your strong holds in the Lord God, or do you with God’s assistance pull down the strong holds that the world has on you?

We as Christians are to remove the things of the world that pulls us away from God. Some of the things may be easy to remove from our lives and others have a very strong hold on us and these are the things that we need help from God to remove.

What are the things that pull you away from God? What are you doing to remover their influance in your life?

As it states in 2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV) we are to use the weapons that we get from God to clean out all the influence of the devil. To learn how to use those weapons, first we must read the Bible while praying and asking for guidance from above.

Matthew 19:14 states: But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

You can find basically the same words spoken by Jesus in Mark 10:14 and Luke 18:16. Jesus knew that children were important. We can even see it in the world today. The government wants beliefs and ways of life taught to our children from as early as they can so that they will grow up believing the lies of the devil and not the truths in the Bible. In Mark we see that when Jesus saw the people trying to keep the children away, “he was much displeased.”

I have not been to many different churches in the last few years, however most of the ones that I have been to have had very few. Are our churches failing in spreading the Word of God to the Youth? Or is it us, the adults, that are failing our children?

Ask yourself, “Am I raising my children and grandchildren in the way God wants me to?” If not, start today. Ask God what more can you do to lead them to Jesus. Make an effort to raise them in such a way that when they get older and the teachers and their friends try to lead them astray that they will be able to stand on the Word of God.

Over the last five decades, Christian parents have been confronted with the question of how to educate their children. Should homeschooling be considered? Is the cost of a Christian education worth it? Maybe keeping kids in public school means they are shining the light of Jesus and being the salt for fellow students. Is it time to run and not walk away from public education?

There have been scary changes in the public school system as more and more liberal-based propaganda crept in, escalating today to a new level of extreme liberalism. ABCs have become the ABCs of unnatural sexuality. The sweet little Gingerbread man who ran as fast as he could has become the Genderbread Person indoctrinating young children to sexual perversion. He didn’t run fast enough, and Christian children may be swept into the chase before they can tie their own shoes.

A recent story in the Epoch Times related an all-too-common incident of monumental impact. A 12-year-old, whom we will call Amanda, attended an after-school Art Club. This innocent girl was indoctrinated during the club and was groomed by the leader. “When the leader told Amanda she must be “queer” if she didn’t feel sexually attracted to anybody, and that she must be “transgender” if she didn’t feel fully comfortable in her own body, the shy little girl suspected something wasn’t right.”[i] She was given a whimsical flyer portraying the Genderbread Person and a transgender flag which the leader had groomed her into believing was Amanda’s sexual preference. She was told that school was a safe place and that she should not report anything that was discussed there with her parents. Thankfully, she did. That one incident has caused multiple mental health challenges for Amanda. In essence, her innocence was stolen as surely as if she had been assaulted.

Sadly, this is not just one school in one district. Principles and teachers are taught to provide “safe” sexual orientation at school. A school principal stated, “gender identity teaching could occur throughout the school year in all subject areas.” [ii] You could drop your son off at school at 8:00 a.m., and he would go to the principal’s office where a new wardrobe would be waiting. He could change into a dress, put on nail polish and lipstick, and spend the day at school presenting as if a girl…[iii] All of this would be hidden from his parents.

With this teaching platform too many teachers are “now promoting identity confusion, emotional harm, and insecurity—negative impacts that last a lifetime.[iv] Teaching gender identity and fluidity and other LGBTQ concepts are strongly represented in social studies and science. Parents are not given warnings or options to opt their children out.

It’s time for the Christian family to become the fox that eats the ‘genderbread’. Be proactive. Research your school district’s stance. The Focus on the Family article, Dealing with Transgender Issues in Elementary School, offers some helpful downloadable booklets.

I was talking to several people recently that made the statement that God was going to call His Children home in the near future or that they were looking to go up in the great catching away. All in all, it sounds great to get away from the troubles that we are facing individually as well as worldwide.

Then I think of what the Bible states will happen during the last days and think to myself. “Yes, it would be wonderful for Jesus to come very soon, however it is not as bad as the Bible states it will be.”

It matters not if you are pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, post-tribulation, or post-marriage supper of the Lamb. What matters is – Is your heart right with God? Are you doing what God has told you to do? If not, then you are running the risk of not making Heaven your home.

We are to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the shedding of His blood which washes away our sins, follow the commandments that God gave us in Exodus and again in the New Testament while winning the lost for Jesus.

Heavenly Father, thank you for sending Your only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. Thank you for raising Him from the dead so that we might live forever with both of You in Heaven. Help us to be the people You want us to be so that we might win more souls for You. Amen.
