Christmas 2022

Let us place Jesus where he belongs, in our hearts. For without Jesus in our lives we are not the person we can be. With Jesus shinning through us, this world will be a better place.

Away in a Manger

Away in a manger no crib for a bed,

The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head,

The stars in the bright sky looked down where He lay,

The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the Baby awakes,

But little Lord Jesus no crying He makes,

I love You, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky,

And stay by my side until morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask You to stay,

Close by me forever and love me I pray,

Bless all the dear children in Your tender care,

And fit us for heaven to live with You there.

Let God be magnified

11/27/2022

Psalms 70:4-5 KJV

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou are my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

So many times we make verse five our motto. Even if we don't say it aloud, we feel and act like it, and sometimes we even talk it.

We need to think, meditate, and live verse four more than verse five. When it states, "Let God be magnified," we need to praise God in all areas of our lives. The good times and the bad. We need to seek something in all situations that gives God praise. It may be hard at first, however the more we do it the easier it becomes.

Heavenly Father, thank you for this day that you have given us. Thank you for the sun and the rain. Amen.

Some Words to Understand

I was reading an article, see link below, about terms that we as followers of Christ should know. Do you know what they mean? Do those in your church know and understand them? Have you even heard of all eight? I will list them here.

  1. Omnipotent
  2. Omniscient
  3. Omnipresent
  4. General Revelation
  5. Special Revelation
  6. Justification
  7. Sanctification
  8. Glorification

I may not be able to explain all of them where you can understand them, which is why I am including the link to the article.

Sometimes, we as Christians, hear a term and it sounds so far out there that you think that it could not be real. I know this for a fact since my husband put a word in one of his books and I was quick to say, “that is not a word.” The dictionary states it is a word.

I am asking each one of you to read the article and ponder what each of the eight words mean to you and in your life.

Heavenly Father, I am asking that you lead each one of us to a closer walk with you and help us to become better servants and examples to those around us. Amen

The Joy of the Lord

10/16/2022

While listening to the Bible this week I heard Psalm 51 and verses 10-14 stuck with me. We need to follow King David’s example. After he had sinned and God sent a prophet to show him that God saw his sin, King David repented, and this is the part that has stuck with me.

Verse 10 states “Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.” This could be a prayer for every morning of our lives. We need God to create in us a clean heart and a right spirit within us on a daily, and on some days an hourly right spirit. This world has so many different opinions being spread that goes against God’s Word that it is hard for many young Christians to keep a “clean heart” and a “right spirit.”

For those who get caught up in the pressures of our lives, King David wrote in verse 12: “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with thy free spirit.” When things cave in on us, we need that joy that we had when we first gave our hearts to God. It matters not how many times you need to pray for that joy to be restored. What matters is that we ask and God answers.

When we show the joy of our salvation, then we can be the witness of God’s love and it will cause people to want to follow God.

Psalm 51:10–13 (KJV)

10Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.

11Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy spirit from me.

12Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with thy free spirit.

13Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; And sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Dear Heavenly Father, restore unto Your Children the joy of their salvation so they might lead others to you. Give us the strength to face the situations in our lives in such a way that others might see You. Amen.

The End Times

10/2/2022

Recently, I watched a documentary on the Holocaust in Europe from the middle of the 1930’s through the 1940’s. While watching it, God brought to my remembrance of what the Bible states about the seven final years that we call The Tribulation.

The documentary showed where the people were rounded up, they lost all their money, their homes, their belongings, and a lot even lost their lives. We have focused on the Jews; however, it was a lot more than just the Jews that had their lives, their families, and their way of life destroyed. If you haven’t read the end of the Bible (The Revelation of Jesus Christ) you might want to refresh your memory.

The Jews, had to wear a MARK so that others could ban or shun them and in the End Times it is the people that refuse to take the MARK that will be treated worse than the criminals in America today. However, the privilege of buying and selling will be gone, they will be rounded up and must choose between the MARK and death.

Therefore, watching the documentary on the Holocaust and the US has made me search my life to make sure I have nothing hindering me from making Heaven my final home. It is a sobering thought that a person thinks they are right with God, go through to the end and die without making Heaven their final abode. Please search your heart today.

Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us that we need You in our lives and hearts. Please, help the people that read this so that they may have a closer walk with you. Grant us the strength and courage to live for You no matter what befalls us. Help us to know that we are ready and have truly accepted Your Son, Jesus Christ, as our Savior. Amen.
