How often do you read your Bible?
2/21/2021
I was reading an article on how often people read their Bible. Digital or in a book, it matters not. Lifeway research put out their findings on that question and I have copied that website address and put it at the end of this article.
Last week I posted an article on a person having a “heart’s desire” and then I read this and now I know one reason why. If you do not know someone, it is hard to care about that person. If we do not read our Bibles then how can we know God, our father, or Jesus, our brother, or even the Holy Ghost who is our teacher, guide, companion, and the person that intercedes with God for our petitions.
Reading this article was an enlightening experience. If less than half of the people read it daily, it makes you wonder how we even have churches.
You may be a person that only hears the Word of God when and if you go to church or run across it on your radio or television. Then it might be only at funerals or weddings that you hear it.
If you are wanting to make Heaven your home for eternity, I recommend that you start reading it so that you can know the way to go and the way to avoid going. If you know God on a personal basis, you want to know more about Him than you do today. If you have a BFF, you know their likes and dislikes. You also talk about them to others.
Let us all make God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost our BFF and tell everyone about them and this means we have to get into the Bible, start praying daily to get to know them enough to tell others.
