Camp Meeting 2019

Brother Wingrove has given me a flyer about the upcoming Camp Meeting on June 17-21 and I wanted to let eveyone know that the theme is “Come Hungry, Leave Filled.” If we are praying for the Camp Meeting now in just under two months then we will “Experience the joyful out pouring of the Holy Ghost.” So come expecting a miracle in your life, your church, your family and in your ministry.

June 17 – 21, are the days to set aside and plan on being in Temple, Oklahoma for Camp Meeting. We have started getting reservations for our dorms. (There are no beds available in the men’s and four in the ladies at the time of writting.) Remember they are on a first come, first get - unless you have reserved one in your name. Call me to reserve your bed at 817-692-8042; also knowing that unexpected circumstances come up and you are unable to attend we do expect you to inform us that you will not be needing a bed. Last but not least, we still have plenty of RV hook-ups.

General Board Meeting

May 14, 2019 at 12:30 PM

Our leaders are meeting this month at our Headquarter’s for our quarterly meeting. I am happy to announce that we do have candidates coming to be considered for the position of “Board Member” and if they are approved it will still leave some openings that need filling. Remember if you are interested in becoming a Board Member you will need to come before the Board at a regular meeting, therefore I am encouraging you who are being led by God to present yourself in Temple, Oklahoma at noon and inform them of your calling.

We, the Board, request everyone’s prayers for our meetings because it is you that we represent.

The Roving Pulpit visits with Rev. Michael Toliver.

Colossians 3:3 (KJV)   For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

After reading the newsletter for April 2019, I was sadden because no one took time to write to our brothers and sisters and upon reading this scripture the Lord spoke to me in a question: “Are you hid in Christ or hiding from Christ.” I am sure no one wants to admit the latter, however, I feel that many are hiding from Christ, in so much, as not fulfilling the will and purpose that God has for their life.

To begin with, when we say that our life is hid in Christ, it is the inner man that is hid in Christ and not the man of flesh. When one is hid in Christ, their inner man draws nourishment from the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 4:16) and becomes rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:17). A true Christian seeks to die to the old man and mortifies the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:13) and if one walks in the Spirit they will overcome the evil appetites and passions of the flesh.

After Adam and Eve sinned while in the garden, they tried to hide from God (Genesis 3:18), but they were unsuccessful. Many today join big churches in order to hide from God or not have to be involved with any type of ministry. Whether it is a lack of confidence, or fear; many turn away the opportunity to become involved in any type of ministry, knowing that God will equip us in whatever He has called us to do. Paul stated, “I can do all things through Christ which stregtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13)

Brothers and sister, the time is short and we must do all we can, “for the night comes when no man can work” (John 9:4). Christ left his disciples and us The Great Commission to minister to others in all forms of works. Let all of us be involved in doing some kind of ministry to promote the good news of the gospel.

I pray that this will encourage all members. God bless you all.

Women of Worth/Helping Hands

Hi, my name is Rev. Donna Stephens, and I just want to write a few lines to encourage and uplift all the women in our association. You are strong, you are powerful and God calls you. No matter what your call is, wither it is preaching, teaching, singing, helping or being youth leaders. God called you; he put you where you are. He goes before you in all you do. Do not let man tell you, you cannot, because God said you could. Step out and be the woman of God that He called you to be. Ladies, let us encourage each other; be there for each other, lift each other up. Let us be the women God called us to be.

If you feel a need to get ahold of Sister Stephens, be sure to contact me for her information. C.I. Wilson

Be sure to mark your calendars for the WoW/HH Conference on October 8 – 10, 2019 at the Sterling Full Gospel Church in Independence, Missouri.

General Board Members Needed

Brother Gary Wingrove along with the other Board Members would like our Association to be represented by a minimum of 6 to 8 board members. To reach that goal we would like for all Ordained ministers that have been with us for at least two years to pray with an open heart and mind asking God this question. “Do you want me to become a Board Member of the IFGEA?” Then when God speaks, listen and then act on what God directs. We need to have representation from the state of Oklahoma since Brother Harrison passed away there is no one on the board from the state of our Headquarters. Board Members can be men or women. We, the Association, need your support.

Evangelistic Youth Association

I have not heard about any EYA activities and would like to hear from our youth.

Mighty Men of Valor

I have not heard about any Mighty Men of Valor activities and would like to hear from our men.

The IFGEA is an association of ministers and as such, it would be nice if you would be so kind as to send in an article or sermonette to be put into our newsletter, the Express and/or on the website. I feel this association is your association and you are the one to be presented so that others may be fed by God through you and your ministry. Be it a song, or a poem you wrote or even a word from the Lord God Most High. However, there is a space issue in the newsletter and The Express so please try to keep it to about just under half of a typewritten page. If it is longer, it can be put on the website. Please mail it early enough to reach the Post Office Box by the 15th of the preceding month if you wish for me to try to get it into a certain month.          C.I. Wilson
