February 2018

Greetings Sisters and Brothers in Jesus’ name:

Here it is time for our February newsletter and due to all the end of year paperwork it crept up on me. Which reminds me if you have given any donations to the IFGEA and have not received your IRS Compliant receipt, please let me know, the last of them was mailed on 1/18/2018. If you believe that you have donated any funds to the association that is not listed on your receipt get in touch with me with your information and we will get it straightened out.

We also want to thank the 90% of our ministers who renewed this year. Most of the renewals came in before the end of October. They are trickling in and I am praying that I hear from the final 10% before this month starts. Thanks also go out to the ones who have sent in a monthly donation (you know who you are) and those who are on a fixed income and still managed to donate above and beyond their renewal fees.

This is the first year that “Lifetime” memberships have been given out by age (80 and older) that have been members for 10 or more consecutive years. This is based on our records of renewals. Congratulations go out to the ones who received that honor this year. However, they will continue to send their renewal forms in to maintain their membership status.

For those wondering, the renewal forms are sent out each year so that we, the IFGEA headquarters, can maintain accurate information. Yes, I am human and I have and even though I try not to, may still make mistakes. If you find any mistakes in your information, please let me know.

CAMPMEETING 2018

Just six more months till we can come together and not only visit with each other but enjoy the presence of God. If we all start praying now we will have an out pouring that could compare to the great revivals of the past. Set your calendars for June 18-22. While we do have dorms for the men and women, if the couples want to stay together there are hotels within 10-40 miles of Temple. Then for the ones that are blessed with RV’s we do have hookups available as well.

Start saving your funds so you can come, more important start praying so that God will annoint the services with his presence. As the old song states; “Won’t it be wonderful there.”

General Board Meeting

Our next Board Meeting will be February 14th at Westside Full Gospel Church in White Settlement, Texas, at 2 PM. If you are interested in becoming a board member we ask that you attend and if you send your name in or call me early enough you will be put on the agenda. Be sure to pray for this meeting so that God can have his will in the decisions that are made.

There is still a need for a General Youth Leader: remember our youth is a part of today’s church and will also be a part of tomorrow’s church. If we do not raise up the youth in church and teach them today where will they be tomorrow? Our youth needs you to be a spiritual leader, a spiritual teacher and an example before them of what God can and will do in their lives. Pray for the youth, pray for their parents, pray that your church encourages the youth to participate in the services and pray that God will use you to increase the youth’s walk with God.

Women of Worth with Helping Hands

We have a women’s group and from what I hear, God is moving in their lives. God has given a message to Sis. Ruff and she has talked it over with her pastor and starting on October 9th there will be a Ladies Retreat at Sterling Full Gospel Church in Independence, MO. Pray for this retreat, the theme is Why the local church needs an active women’s group. There will be more information coming so start praying for this retreat. Be sure and mark your calendar. The retreat will be Tuesday (10/9) through Thursday (10/11). There is no fee for registration and the lunch is provided. However, your lodging, breakfast and supper is not provided. A list of lodging establishments will be given out later this year.

If you know someone that would like to attend, please contact: Sis. Beth Bartholomew at 816-518-8762. Sis. Bartholomew will be glad to put your name on the list. Please call to confirm that you will be coming so they can prepare enough to feed everyone for lunch.

IFGEA Men

We don’t want you men to feel left out, however we don’t have a group for you. This means, men you need to start praying for each other. We are in a time that is hard for everyone, preachers included, need more than a church service or a campmeeting, you need a support group of men for men where God can give you a place to come together and support your fellow men, even the ones that are not ministers. Pray for this group to be active in your local church as well as association wide. We all need peer pressure for God, man to man fellowship, a support group that you feel comfortable with knowing that they will listen to and pray for you.

This is the month of love. Be sure and show God’s love to those around you.
