Preparing for Ressurection Day
April 4, 2017
As we prepare for Easter this year, let’s not stop at buying that new Easter outfit for the family, the new Easter baskets for the little ones and the food for the big Easter family meal. These are just everyday type of preparations. We need to focus on preparing for the Spiritual Easter; the one that centers around our three best friends, God the Father, Jesus his Son and the Holy Ghost.
Yes, they should be our BFF’s (Best Friends Forever). If we listen to them, ask for their guidance and follow their directions then we will become everything that they know we can become.
When they created the whole creation, they knew everything as we know it, the good and the bad, things that we have to live through and they prepared a way for us. A way that if we follow it will make our lives so much easier even though we may not think it as we go through all the trials and tribulations that is ahead. They would be so much worse without our dearest friends. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV) “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, this does not mean that we will not have to go through it but that it will never become harder than we can bear it as long as we hold on the Word of God.
We need to prepare ourselves to be the faithful stewards of the gift of salvation that Jesus gave us by giving his life and shedding his blood for us. If we are the faithful stewards that God knows we can be then we will have a powerful witness to lead others to that same cross for that same cleansing that Jesus prepared for us.
Let us ask ourselves this question: Am I where God wants me?
If not then ask God how you can get yourselves where you are in his perfect will.
Hebrews 2:3 (KJV)
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Happy Resurrection Day
