6. The Holy Ghost enabled the apostles to fill Jerusalem with the doctrine of Christ.

Acts 2:14

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

Acts 4:31

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

7. The Holy Ghost enabled the 120 to perform supernatural signs and wonders.

Acts 2:43

And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

8. The Holy Ghost enabled the saints to spread the gospel to the rest of the world.

Acts 1:8

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

9. The saints were careful to lead their converts into the same experience.

Acts 2:38-41

³⁸ Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

³⁹ For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

⁴⁰ And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

⁴¹ Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

10. Christ commanded all believers to be filled with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 1:4-5

⁴ And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

⁵ For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

As we look at this list, we can see a great responsibility to spread the word of God, to fulfill our duty to see as many saved and filled with the Holy Ghost as quickly as possible before it’s too late.
