I will praise the Lord in all things
5/27/2018
Thank you Lord for giving us another day to praise you. Thank you for your mercy and your grace. Thanks for all your blessings that you have given us today and most importantly for the times of testing so that we may know deep within us that you are still in control and that you will see us through everything that the world throws at us. Amen.
Psalm 34:1-10 (KJV)
1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
These verses start out with the words, "I will bless the Lord at all times", do we? If we are faithful with our blessings toward our Heavenly Father then, we will experience his blessings on us because he will hear us when we seek his face. However, we need to realize that we will be tried and these trials are a blessing from on high.
How can we grow in the Lord and show it to the world if we are not tried. Here are some verses that bring this out.
James 1:12 (KJV)
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
1 Peter 1:6-7 (KJV)
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
