God's Word is Reliable

Daniel 6:15, 25-27 (KJV)
15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.
25 Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
Christians believe in God and know that the Bible is God’s Word. We should all believe that it is true and does not change. This is how the Law of the Medes and Persians was. In the Book of Esther is mentions this as well as the Book of Daniel. If men believed that a mortal man’s law would not change why then are we trying to change God’s Word?
American laws are changing even as you read this. Somewhere there are people trying to come up with a better law or a law that protects a certain thing that has not been protected up to this point. What used to be the laws of the land may not be that today and what is law today may not be in the future. For example in Texas, it used to be against the law to carry a pair of wire cutters. Why, because there was too much cattle rustling by the thieves cutting the barbwire fences; now this law is outdated.
However, as Christians we need to believe and act on the fact that God’s Word DOES NOT change. It has not and it will not change to suit mankind’s will. This is one of the reasons that we, as a nation, needs to be reading and learning what God has written in his book, the Bible. If we know what the Bible states then we will know when someone tries to tell us differently. Because, the devil is trying to lead you astray from God’s Word.
Yes, men can make mistakes; however, some men change the Bible because they do not like what it says. We cannot know when they change it to suit their purpose unless we know what it says to begin with.
Dearest Lord, thank you for being steadfast and dependable. For I need you to be the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. I need someone that will not let me down. Thank you for being a forgiving God who will forgive me when I fall and repent. Help me learn thy ways and grow in you until you call me home. Amen.
